McKenna was born in Marylebone to a theatrical family and was educated at Heron's Ghyll School, a former independent boarding school near the market town of Horsham in Sussex. She spent six years in South Africa before returning to the School at the age of fourteen, after which she attended the Central School of Speech and Drama , then based at the Royal Albert Hall , London. She had a small role in the popular war film The Cruel Sea and a better part in the low budget comedy The Oracle She received excellent reviews for her stage performance in The River Line. Their marriage ended, owing to his affairs with men. Rank signed her to a long term contract  and director Brian Desmond Hurst said "She has a terrific future, properly handled. She has all the qualities of a young Bergman and a young Katharine Hepburn. The movie flopped at the box office.
So that's something I can't say is good or bad. Can I add to this extremely old thread. Breaking up with someone solely because of religion is something people condemn alot on this sub when its a Mormon breaking it off with a non Mormon, but if floats both ways. Seems he's always on call or on a totally different schedule than I. I am particularly tied to an area because of family and friends and he was set on selecting a list that was best suited for his career, not me. By that I mean that we ought to consider simply marrying within the faith and in the temple for all the reasons that people have given. Recently though she has been quite distant, although this may be due to a combination of reasons - such as family sickness and now being on nights. As for deciding to marry someone who is not mormon, here is how I made the decision.
